HABITAT – vom Mensch geprägte Lebensräume
The photo book HABITAT shows how humans change their habitat. The aerial photographs are arranged according to superordinate questions: where do we extract raw materials, how does agriculture intervene in nature, how do roads and tracks alter our habitat?
The history of human evolution is told in five chapters and 90 photos. For each chapter, two photographs are supplemented with infographics, telling facts about human altered landscapes. For this project I have taken aerial photos all over Germany. This book is a prototype and going to be published later in 2018. The Project is awarded with the DDC Award and the Design Award Constance.
